Accepting a Rescheduled Meeting Causes Conflict Warning with the Original Meeting Time

Technote Number: 1096891

Problem:
Note: You can select Yes to the "...Create anyway?" message, and the
reschedule will take place without further incident.

This issue was reported to Lotus Software Quality Engineering, and was
addressed in Notes 5.0.7 Client and Domino 5.0.7 Server. This issue does not
occur in Calendaring & Scheduling with Notes 6 Client and Domino 6 Server. You
no longer receive a conflict warning for a reschedule of the same meeting that
falls within the time of the original time.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 5.0.7 QMR fix list (available
at http://www.notes.net):

Calendaring & Scheduling
SPR# DCOY4JCKYE - Rescheduling a meeting to an overlapping time will no longer
generate a time conflict.

Supporting Information:

Steps To Reproduce:
1. Have a chairperson send you a meeting invitation for an hour.
2. When you receive this invitation, accept it.
3. Have the chairperson open this invitation and send a reschedule notice,
moving the meeting forward a half hour.
4. When you receive this reschedule notice, accept it.

A message displays, indicating that there is a conflict, when in fact the
conflict is with the original meeting which is in the process of being changed.
